Hi Everyone-Here is a cool update about ministry areas for Burundi, for your information and to pray about. I will also create links on the Pray Burundi website as news becomes available. www.forhisgloryinternational.org/prayburundi.html.
On Friday, Andy received an email from our new missionary friend, Stephen. Andy's translator while in Burundi will be a young man named Olivier who is going to arrange meetings with businessman in Bujumbura from April 21-25. He also suggested several speaking engagements to high school and university students as well as a few other places for ministry trips-Muyinga and Rutovu ('Source du nil' or Source of the Nile). Tentative dates are April 26-27 & May 1- 2. I'm not sure of the time difference yet, I'll get back to you so you know how to pray accordingly. Also, Stepehn highly recommends Olivier who is about 30, loves Jesus, and who "God is using in some pretty incredible ways ".
As far as prayer, I feel to plan a Focus for this week. The word Sweep is central in my mind. Right now I still feel it's about Atmospheres, and also that word gets out to Europeans who have a burden for Africa, especially the UK. I believe that what we've seen concerning England, Burundi and Pittsburgh is interconnected and will begin sooner than later, particularly in Africa.
The other day when I lost my initial blog, I was writing about being seated in Heavenly Places or the HP, as I'll call it. I fondly like to refer to the cloud of witnesses in Hebrews 11:1 as the Holy C.O.W. I've never told anyone that, it's just a funny little God-thing. The reason I'm telling you this, in part, is because I want you to think about the vision Andy had that he and I acted out by putting our hands and fingers in the Holy Goo. (heehee) Now, we can't take credit for that inspiration-Holy Goo came from our friend Toby in OK.
I just want you to contemplate what it really means to be seated with Christ in the HP where the Holy C.O.W. is seated, cheering us on. Think of it this way-the Holy Goo is that stream flowing from the hot springs (see April 8), the deeps of the Spirit, which flow from, in and through the HP where we are seated with Christ. Seem convoluted? It's pretty simple, really, you just have to get past any preconceived ideas you may have about the Holy Spirit. Ask Andy to share his vision with you and instead of hands, let's jump in together! WHEEEE!!! Amy
