Good Morning, Burundi Lovers!
Andy and I trust that all is well with you. We're making plans to return in the spring to Bujumbura, and we're counting on your prayer support. Andy has been in contact with the missionaries and local people with whom he fellowshipped when he was there last spring, and is looking forward to More. One question is whether I should go with him this time or if he should return to set in motion what God has impressed upon us to fill a need in the city/country. I'm not saying what, only because we'll be making some public announcements soon.
For myself, I have several writing
and ministry projects that I must begin and complete in the next several months (the Time is Now for Pittsburgh and I can't let it go any longer!) that demand my total concentration and focus, and the question is whether it is best for me to do so here, or not. It seems that we are at a crucial juncture, but the Lord told me that it's 'a coming together of all things'.
Please be in prayer for us. For those of you who read this and never comment and have a definite interest in Burundi-we've heard about some of you, like those in Jack Hayford's church who have been there, among others-Contact us, we're not an exclusive ministry. It's about the Kingdom and we don't care what denomination you belong to or what church you attend. Let's work together for Jesus. We're spirit-filled and we're not shy about it, quenching the Holy Spirit is not part of our modus operandi. So if that scares you, well...we'll pray for you!
I lift up Burundi, and Bujumbura today. This heart-shaped country, the heart of Africa, is in the heart of God, in His thoughts and He's never forgotten. 'A city and a nation, not forsaken.' Pray in the Spirit today for Burundi. It's a season of awakening and More. Blessings, Amy
PS-I'm thinking about doing a clothing drive to send/take to Burundi. Anyone interested in helping or donating cash for shipping?
